Close & rollover 401k, then start another?

I am self-employed (over 59 1/2) and have created several types of accounts over the years (SEP, Keogh). I now have a solo 401K. I am still working but want to transfer all my retirement money to another company that does not have solo 401K (but they have all other types of IRAs). But, I would like to contribute new money into a 401K.

I’ve thought of perhaps closing my current 401K, then somehow rolling it over to another form of IRA, then starting a new 401K, perhaps with another company.

Will the IRS allow this? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tom
