IRA Lawsuit Protection…for a Non-Resident Client (US Citiz
Hello all,
I am looking for some help. It is my understanding that the extent (if any) that an IRA is protected from lawsuits is dependent on the State’s legislation in which the client is a resident of. If a US Citizen is a resident of Japan, is there any protection (the State in which the count was opened? Their last state of Residency? A Federal provision for this scenario?)?
Many thanks in advance,
Michael
