IRA holding period before roth conversion

Is there a IRA holding period for which I need to maintain investments in my IRA account before I perform a roth conversion? If not, I would assume can perform deposit fund in my IRA and then perform a roth conversion in the same year.

Thanks. George

There is no waiting period to convert. You can do it as soon as your TIRA contribution shows up in your account. If you wait, any earnings generated in the TIRA will be taxed when you do the conversion.
