ERISA Question

Just been Informed that my former companies frozen DB pension plan is being merged into the acquiring insurance companies “New Plan” effective 12/31/19. I am a participant currently receiving payments on the first of every month for the past 4 years. The company has informed me that the payment method effective 1/01/20 will change from payments being made on the 15th of the month instead of the 1st of the month. I believe that this would constitute a violation of ERISA as the original documents state that payments will be made on the first of the month.
