Pension plan’s RMD Beginning Date
An employer’s pension plan has 4 different QJSA options. The plan representative said RMD’s must begin by Aptil 1 after age 70-1/2.
Under the SECURE act was this beginning age for RMD’s changed to age 72 for all employer retirement plans or can the employer choose an earlier age?

The employer can use an earlier age. The tax code states that the employer may not use a later age.
