Foreign Tax credit

This may be slightly off topic, but I don’t know where else to ask the question below. For 2017 the 1040 tax returns there was a place on the form to put the tax credit from a foreign country – line 48. For 2018 returns, there is no line I can see to enter the tax credit. I did enter it on the interest form – 1099 INT, but I see no place where the amount is subtracted from the tax amount. If someone could point out where the foreign tax credit is subtracted on 1040, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for any help

If the credit is less than 600 joint or 300 single, it goes directly on line 48 of Sch 3 (Nonrefundable credits). If the credit exceeds 600/300 then the credit from Form 1116 goes on line 48.  From there the credit flows to line 12 of Form 1040 (check the box in 12b). Remove the entry from Sch B Interest.
