Making a Roth Contribution after taking a RMD

I want to confirm one can make a Roth contribution (up to the $6500 limit) immediately after taking a RMD (with the required tax withholding), assuming a couple has sufficient earned income to cover all Roth contributions.

The Roth contribution including a spousal Roth contribution (income permitting ) can be made any time, including prior to an RMD distribution. Also, withholding is optional for any TIRA distribution, RMD or otherwise.  Many people take their RMDs late in the year and withhold enough to avoid the need for quarterly estimates. If silent, the default withholding rate is 10%. Over 50 Roth contribution limit for 2019 is 7000.
